At the end of last year, I was hit by a car while crossing a road in Coventry.
At the time, I had an Acer laptop (Aspire V5 Nitro) in my rucksack as I was heading to an event.
The car hit me side-on at around 35mph. The paramedics on the scene said that if the laptop had not taken the brunt of the hit, then my back would have been seriously impacted which would have left me paralysed, or dead.
The laptop may not have survived, but I did. So thank you, Acer, for saving my life.
(p.s. if you look closely you can see the bent screen where I am holding it - all 4 corners have had the same treatment)
